On Tuesday, November 27, the entire DePaul community came together to support the university we love on #GivingTuesday.
All told, 174 members of the DePaul community combined to make 185 gifts totaling an incredible $45,972 in support this year.
Alumni could direct their gifts to anything at DePaul that was meaningful to them—a scholarship they themselves once received, the department or program they were a part of as students, a favorite sports program or extracurricular, and more.
Once all the gifts were tallied, we witnessed broad support spread across the entire university, with the Student Emergency Assistance Fund, which provides financial assistance to DePaul students in emergency or crisis situations, and the General Scholarship Fund as two of the most-supported areas.
I donated to @DePaul_SPS today. It’s great to give back

#GivingTuesday was a truly collaborative effort, and even students got in on the fun. Student callers in the Telefund spoke with alumni throughout the night, thanking them for their gifts and asking them to pledge their support. One alumna whose grandson is involved with an on-campus group geared toward feeding the homeless was happy to pledge her support to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund.
Since its inception, #GivingTuesday at DePaul has raised more than $115,000 to support DePaul students. If you missed #GivingTuesday and still want to make a difference at DePaul, you can make a gift at any time!
