With the start of the All for DePaul Virtual Fun Run just a day away, we put together some DePaul-themed running routes for you to complete your run! See below for 5k, 10k, and half marathon routes between DePaul landmarks and iconic spots in the city!
If you’re running a themed route or participating from outside Chicago, let us know where you’re running at @depaulalumni on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook or post a photo to the Fun Run Scrapbook!
5k – 14 E. Jackson to Lincoln Park Zoo
Start on the Loop Campus at the Lewis Center, home to DePaul’s College of Law, and head north to Lincoln Park Zoo, just a short walk down Fullerton from the Lincoln Park Campus.
10k – The Theatre School to Wintrust Arena
Two great ways to catch a show! Start at The Theatre School, constructed in 2013 on the Lincoln Park Campus, and head to the South Loop, home to DePaul’s new Wintrust Arena!
Half Marathon – Rogers Park Beach to Northerly Island
Take the Lakefront Trail from Rogers Park Beach all the way down to Northerly Island, and you’ll not only pass by each campus, you’ll get beautiful views of both the lake and the skyline.
Marathon – DuSable Museum to the Museum of Science and Industry to The Quad
If you signed up for a full marathon and you’re planning to complete it all at once, bravo! It might be nice to run from the DuSable Museum, named in honor of the “Founder of Chicago,” Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, down to Hyde Park, and back north to finish things up where your DePaul journey started: on the Quad!
