Piñata Making with the National Museum of Mexican Art

The Latinx Alumni Chapter hosts a piñata making class led by the staff of the National Museum of Mexican Art. Learn about the history of piñatas and their role in Latinx culture while having fun making your very own!

Materials needed:

– A medium or a big balloon

– Scissors

– Newspaper

– Liquid glue (Elmers)

– Flour

– Water

– Sugar

– Colorful streamers or Crepe paper and china paper of different colors

– 7 colorful poster boards or cardstock (depending on size of balloon)

– A small brush

– A small spool of string
