Thank You, Volunteers!

It’s National Volunteer Appreciation Week, so we’re taking this opportunity to say one huge “Thank you!” to the hundreds of dedicated alumni who volunteer their time, their unique skills and knowledge, and their Blue Demon spirit to help advance the mission of DePaul University.

Alumni volunteers are dedicated to bringing the alumni family together and building closer bonds among the community through opportunities like the Alumni Board, regional alumni chapters, the Black Alumni Chapter, the Latinx Alumni Chapter and the Young Alumni Committee, among others.

We’ll be celebrating our volunteers all week, so keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds, and follow our chapter pages for special volunteer spotlights, inspiring stories and more!

Here’s what a few volunteers have to say about their experience:

“Volunteering with DePaul has exposed me to some great organizations in the Los Angeles area. As someone who loves to give back, I have loved partnering with amazing organizations for volunteer opportunities.”

Melanie Jacobs (BUS ’11), Southern California Alumni Chapter

“Vincentian Service is about embracing and giving back to one’s community. I wanted to give back to the DePaul community by being a source of knowledge and support like those who came before me.”

Jarrett Newman (CMN ’13), New York City Alumni Chapter
