Join fellow alumna Celia DeBoer (LAS ’12, MA ’14, MEd ’20) as she instructs yoga for runners! This virtual fitness class will help stretch, strengthen and increase blood flow to overworked joints and muscles, promoting healing to help make the most your rest days.
Celia is a triple demon (Political Science – BA ’12, Women’s and Gender Studies – MA’14, Curriculum Design – MEd ’20) and is the Liberal Studies Program Coordinator at DePaul. As a DePaul Alumna and staff, she is excited to share yoga with the DePaul community. She found yoga in 2014 after finishing her masters in Women’s and Gender Studies and delved deeper because of the self-reflection that yoga fosters. In 2017, she completed 200hr YTT at Zen Yoga Garage as the first step in her journey as a yoga teacher. Since then she has completed workshops in kids yoga, race and equity in yoga, restorative yoga, and mindfulness. The mind-body connection that yoga provides is an emphasis in her classes. She believes that when you are in tune with your breath and body, you are more present in the world around you. Calm, cool, collected are Celia’s three C’s of yoga.
